John Markward, a German merchant built the main house for the love of his life, Adelphia, and married her on the front steps in 1881. The cottage and main house have been restored back to its original glory. Huge century-old oak trees surround the property situated on 18 lush acres. The Adelphia has earned placement on the National Register of Historic Homes. Available now for weddings, private events, and overnight stays.
