About Us
Lampasas County Friends of the Night Sky is a volunteer group dedicated to helping the communities in Lampasas County to reduce light pollution and preserve our Big and Bright Stars here in the Heart of Texas for future Generations.
Stars Up! Lights Down!
Volunteers meet every first Wednesday of the month at 10:30-11:45 in the Chamber of Commerce conference room. Please join us!
Both Lampasas County and the City of Lampasas have passed resolutions to encourage practices and support efforts to preserve our night skies. We had great fun participating in the Spring Ho Festival! Our Night Sky and Kiwanis Club volunteers managed a water stop for runners in the Toughest 10K/5K Run AND we had a float in the parade. It was HOT but FUN!
